Welcome to 2013
As always in the new year, I set myself some new year resolutions and I have to admit I hardly ever stick to them. However for some reason this year I'm more determined than ever and I have a feeling that 2013 is going to be a very good year indeed.
Get out more
Whenever I'm sitting at my desk on the weekend watching a Youtube video or tweeting, I always think that I should be out doing something- however I've very rarely done anything about it. I'm not really the sort of person to go out to parties and stay up to the early hours of the morning often- I'd rather sit and watch a movie or something along those lines. But 2013 is a new year! If I want to go out with my friends or go out for dinner or lunch then I'll do something about it and in the end I will have better memories because of it
Be more organised
I know what you're probably thinking right now... "everyone says they want to be more organised" and I completely agree because that's what I think if someone tells me that's their resolution, but I do need to be more tidy and organised. I recently tidied out 20+ sheets from school from 2-3 years ago from my desk which is ridiculous! As well as having a room which doesn't look like a landfill site, I have the rest of my GCSEs this year so have clear structured notes is pretty vital to good revision.
Vlog more
As my schoolwork has increased significantly since September my Youtube channel has taken a back seat in my list of priorities which is probably the right thing to do but now I want to have regular videos (of a good quality) which will hopefully improve my audience. Back when I started Youtube I was so excited to film, edit and upload a video and that enthusiasm is still there but I find myself not having any time. I need to spend less time watching videos and more time actually making them!
Be enthusiastic with EVERYTHING!
It's important to always enjoy what you're doing because you get the most out of it (that's what I find anyhow) so therefore even if I hate what I'm doing e.g revision, homework or any household chores then I'll be as enthusiastic with it as possible- even if it means counting down to when I can finish then so be it!
So there you have it! My resolutions which I have set myself and hope to meet for the WHOLE year (not just the first week). Already I've started 2 of them- I've gone out for lunch 4 times since the new year and have been very enthusiastic with my revision that I've done. Admittedly I've only done one short "filler" video since Christmas but then again I've been very busy visiting family and friends. Hopefully when I get back to school I'll have a proper routine again and can find lots of time to film and edit videos! I hope you all have a great new year and I'm sure it will be a blast! :)
